Growler Filling Station
The only constant in the ever changing beer industry is that customers are always looking for new and exciting craft beers. Nick’s, with help from companies near and afar, has installed a state of the art Growler Filling Station based on the same operating principles as bottling lines. We use a blended gas counter pressure system. This state of the art technique forces beer to fill the growler from the bottom up reducing loss due to foam, while keeping the beer as fresh as possible.
While Nick’s carries a wide array of craft beer in bottles and cans, our Growler Filling Station has opened the doors to endless possibilities. Our Growler Filling Station taps are constantly changing with beers that are extremely rare or even limited to draft only. Our list is always changing, so check back with us regularly or you may miss out on that one beer you have been waiting for.

Levante – DDH Blood Orange Cloudy & Cumbersome
Dripping blood orange puree melds with pillowy-soft oats and wheat in the grainbill, while sun-showers of hoppiness shine down through the clouds. Idiom – Liquid Lunch
The mix of Vic Secret, Azacca and Sultana bring about bright notes of ruby red grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit, tangerine and pine with a mellow, restrained, bitterness that allows the smooth, creamy, body to support the beer through to your next sip.
- ABV: 5.4%
Vasen – Imperial Walrus
This strong, dark ale is our tribute to the imperial stouts of the 18th and 19th centuries, which had high alcohol content and significant bitterness to allow them to survive the long voyage from England to Russia. Roasted barley and wheat contribute rich, malty flavors of dark chocolate and coffee, while East Kent Golding hops provide spicy, earthy notes with a hint of honey.
- ABV: 9.0%
True Respite – Lichtenhainer
Traditional German smoked sour ale
- ABV: 3.9%
- Rockville, MD
Crooked Crab – Cream Ale
This one is awesome in its simplicity: barley, corn, and a touch of caramel malt for sweetness. We then used Mt. Hood hops to give that slightly spicy, grassy tone often found in the roots of fine light(er) beers.
- ABV: 5.4%
